Cold shrinkable cable accessories are parts of various cable accessories, which are formed by injection vulcanization of elastomer silicone rubber materials in the factory, then expanded and lined with core rope supports. During field installation, these pre expansion parts shall be sleeved at the treated cable ends or joints, the internal support core rope shall be drawn out, and the cable accessories shall be compressed on the cable insulation. Because it relies on elastic retraction force at room temperature, rather than using fire to heat and shrink heat shrinkable cable accessories, it is commonly known as cold shrinkable cable accessories.
